Case study on the protection of power stations against ligthning strokes

摘要

In this paper, a typical example of power substation has been proposed. Two approaches have been exposed and compared, the standard method and the electro-geometrical method. The example has been illustrated through a case-study aimed at revealing the importance of each method, with their specific protective zones and the choosing of the appropriate one.
