5G is a revolutionary technology. It not only transforms the main communication methods of the society from writing to video language, but also changes the communication rules and construction methods of information transmission. It not only has a great impact on the field of mass communication, but also has a subversive change in the subject structure of media education. The innovation of the 5G technology has promoted the transformation of human society into the "four full media" (full-course media, holographic media, all-member media and full-effect media). Media literacy has become a core force in citizen literacy during the omnimedia era. The literacy education of media in the basic educational stage has an enlightening nature and is in a basic position in the universal media literacy education system. The objects of basic education at present stage are those newcomers born since the year of 2010 and they have grown up in the process of vigorous development of the whole media. In order to make media literacy education better serve the basic education and make those newcomers fully understand and use omnimedia, this article first analyzes the new demands and new norms of media literacy in the era of omnimedia, and then, followed by "beyond protectionism" as value needs, analyzes the purposes of media literacy education under the perspective of omnimedia, and finally establishes the framework of media literacy education system in the time of 5G technology. This article believes that we should position the goal of media literacy education in basic education as an enlightenment education to cultivate students' "rational analysis", a comprehensive literacy ability to cultivate learners' media cognition, media analysis and media use.
