摘要

This article presents the design of a vehicle security and alert system implemented in a Raspberry PI B plus. The system is based on facial recognition using OpenCV and Local Binary Pattern algorithm (LBP) to identify the driver, the system interacts with caŕs owner by instant messaging and email through alerts, which contain driver picture, car location obtains by GPS and the fact that produces the alert.
