this paper presents a design to align a satellite antenna automatically to a specific satellite. Firstly, the initial system designed was built using Proteus and Bascom over ID. Secondly, that antenna was motorized with two DC Motors, one for horizontal movement and the other for vertical movement. The controller was used to control the movement of DC motors to move the two motors in a pattern of pulses. When the controller gets a good signal level, It will save motors positions in its EEPROM. This is done according to a specific program built in the microcontroller memory. The controller used in this system was avr atmega 32 programmed by using BASCOM AVR ID. Then test and evaluation process was done for the proposed system. Finally, conclude that the use of the proposed solution makes the alignment process easy and quick. The outcome of the simulation is appropriate to what is expected from using this technique.
