State-of-the-art and trends of autonomous driving technology

摘要

Autonomous driving is the research frontier of vehicle engineering and lay a significant impact on automobile industry. Through analysis on Co-word network and technology evolution path in the last 20 years, it finds that the present study on autonomous driving mainly focused on technology of environmental perception, decision making and motion control. Meanwhile, social impacts and regulations can influence this technology through market responses. Achievements and current difficulties in each segment have been discussed in detail. Then, it proposes that two types of ways of future development is available: integration with the high-lever systems, like intelligent transportation system and new energy vehicle; advance in backward subsystems, like sensor system, information processing system and actuating system. Finally, cooperation, data platform and standards and norms are advised to meet the goal of autonomous driving.
