Technology Development and Applying Scenary of UAV: A Patentometric Survey

Being strengthened by advances of industrial technology as well as improvement of supply chains, demanded by civil markets and national defense, cultivated by social and economic forces, oriented by national policies and regulations, UAV technology is meeting a huge chance in terms of applying scenarioes and potential markets. Aimming to draw a panorama of UAV R&D to recognize further opportunities of technical innovation and challenges for organizations in industrial chains, value chains and innovative systems around UAV technology R&D and manufacture, an analysis based on a patentometric survey was initially carried out. Furthermore, expectations on applying opportunities and R&D directions were concluded for potential applicants based on patentometric evidences and on the environmental analysis, for the latter the logistics industry was chosen as a case.
