Novel Reconfigurable Bandpass Filter With Wide Tunable Bandwidth

This paper presents a reconfigurable bandpass filter by cascading the reconfigurable high-pass and low-pass units. The high-pass and low-pass units can be designed independently to realize the lower and higher cut-off frequency agility. Then the high-pass and the low-pass units are cascaded to compose the proposed reconfigurable bandpass filter with tunability of center frequency, bandwidth simultaneously. The lumped equivalent circuits of high-pass and low-pass filters are analyzed and demonstrated by simulation. The simulated results demonstrate a good frequency selectivity, wide tuning range and ultra-wide fractional bandwidth tunability of the bandpass filter.
