Highly Green and Favorable Energetics for Generating Non-wood Fibers for Tissue Production

摘要

1. We developed novel defiberization process that can deliver higher yield hurd pulp, while minimizing the use of chemicals and energy. 2. We provided preliminary evidence that hemp hurds produced from this process can be used to replace up to 25% hardwood fiber in towel production with comparable properties. 3. We created new possibilities to serve the ever growing sustainable-low cost towel and wipe industry with high strength and absorbency.
