摘要

Filter Bank Multi-Carrier (FBMC) system is a candidate modulation and one of the subclasses of multicarrier modulation technique which has gained the importance in 5G-LTE system communication due to the spectral efficiency. The paper tries to compare between two multicarrier modulation techniques which are Cyclic Prefix-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CP-OFDM) and FBMC. They divide the frequency spectrum into narrow band channels. The power spectral density is assessed. The bit error probability is calculated for FBMC evaluation over a time- and frequency-selective time varying channel for a one tap equalizer. For the validation Monte-Carlo simulation method is adopted.
