There is a severe contradiction between the heating supply of central heating systems and the utilization of wind power in wind integration areas. Combined heat and power dispatch can alleviate the wind curtailment problem through the utilization of heat storage property of central heating systems. Existing studies mainly focus on the dispatch of heat sources in central heating systems but do not consider the schedule of heat exchange stations. In this paper, a start-stop schedule model of heat exchange stations is established. Combining the quasi-dynamic pipeline thermal model, a combined heat and power dispatch model is addressed. A transformation on the heat exchange station model is proposed to transform non-convex constraints into tractable mixed integer linear constraints. Numerical tests demonstrate the necessity of introducing the schedule of heat exchange stations into combined heat and power dispatch and the economic advantages of the proposed method in reducing wind curtailment.
