Water utilities have invested millions in modem technologies; ostensibly saving time and money over old manual and paper-based systems. Real performance gains are often elusive. People blame the technology, but history tells us that it's really about people and how they embrace change. Encouraging employees to embrace new routines that take advantage of modem technology isn't magic. There are proven ways to do it that rely heavily on change management and process improvement techniques. This presentation will describe how to use these practices, leveraging utility examples.
