Modeling of interconnects in hard disk drive suspension is increasingly important [1]. We present, in this paper, fast accurate evaluations of the impedances of interconnects. Not only the quick numerical computation of the impedance and admittance expressions encountered in the telegrapher's equations [2] is important but also solution visualization and correct interpretation is a crucial step in devising electromagnetic solutions. In other words, it is not sufficient to express solutions in terms of special and transcendental functions or symbolic inverses. In this paper, we will show how to evaluate fast and accurate impedances via Fade approximations associated with ratios of confluent hyper-geometric functions.
