Role of M-H loop slope of media for recording properties in perpendicular magnetic recording

摘要

A primitive recording simulation study for perpendicular magnetic recording indicated that the perpendicular M-H loop slope of the recording media plays an essential role in the recording process along with the recording head filed [1]. The effect of the loop slope of the media and the write head field gradient on the transition width was investigated based on a micro magnetic calculation.
