Review of Copy Detection Techniques for Monolingual Natural-Language Documents

By extensively investigating the copy detection approaches both at home and abroad, this review provides an overview of studies on copy detection techniques applied in monolingual natural language documents. First it summarizes the basic types and development of copy detection techniques in the early days and then performs in-depth comparisons on the state-of-the-art natural language-based copy detection techniques, especially in the PAN competition (Plagiarism analysis, Authorship identification, Near-duplicate detection) from 2009-2014. Finally, this review gives an outlook of the development of copy detection techniques.
