摘要

Mathematical tools are a powerful language for translation of the plain words used to explain concepts and scenarios of events and their combinations. Reliability discipline addresses concepts and scenarios but due to use of similar or same terms, lack of explanation what mathematics to use for specific conditions the tools may be used inappropriately. Those errors lead to results that do not represent specific combinations of events and lead to incorrect conclusions and decisions which may lead to a variety of consequences including the very costly critical and catastrophic. Statistic and mathematics may be sorted out as Continuous and discrete distributions: Continuous probability distributions model time to failure of the single non-repaired items (components or systems and their parameters have various characteristics that are described here.
