In fiber reinforced seal, the interface between fiber and asphalt has a direct impact on stress transfer and dispersion, and affects the toughness of composite materials. Fiber surface modification can improve the strengths of bond interfacial layers. This article adopts that the fiber was etched by acid, alkali, and coupling agent solution, the effect of modified fiber reinforced emulsified asphalt and the surface morphology of modified fiber were analyzed by FTIR and SEM. The results showed that the modified fiber emulsified asphalt has no new characteristic peak compared with the original emulsified asphalt, It was mainly physical adsorption on the interface, in which some functional peaks corresponding to the functional groups increase or decrease, this express that adding modified fibers to emulsified asphalt has enhanced effect on adhesion. SEM images showed that the 1 mol/L acid solution etching basalt fibers was the best effect.
