The reconfigurability of a hospital center facing a massive influx of victims

The aim of this work is to introduce an efficient way for the management and the sizing of a hospital center facing exceptional situations as a result of a massive influx of victims. The purpose of this study is to provide hospitals with a powerful immune system that can respond quickly to unexpected situations. This system suggests a process of organization and management of such situations from the reception of the information to the filtering of victims. Then, we will have to find our needs in human and material resources for the process input. This process is modelled using ARENA software. A case study was carried out in the prefectural hospital center (PHC) ALMANSOR in Casablanca (Morocco) to determine the different situations, especially in the emergency department (ED). The purpose is to work on the cases of recorded mass influxes.
