A Repair Method of Point Cloud with Big Hole

The repair of point cloud with big hole is a challenge research in computer graphics. In our paper, we present a divisional repair method based on feature lines, including hole boundary lines, ridge and valley lines. First, these feature lines are obtained and reconstructed. In order to maintain the original contour shapes, the big hole is divided into several small holes based on the features lines. Then control points sequence of NURBS surface fitting is obtained. Finally, the hole is repaired by fitting every small hole. The experiment results show that our method not only recovers the initial shape-skeleton of hole, but also maintains its sharp features.
