Badminton is one of the most popular racquet sports in the world, as well as in Malaysia. Recently, due to advancement of technology, computerised analysis in sports science becomes prevalent. In this study, our main focus is to conduct preliminary investigation of the relationship between movement accuracy and heart rate using the Microsoft Kinect in badminton performance analysis. In the experiment, a right-handed elite badminton player was engaged for movement and heart rate data collection by using Microsoft Kinect sensor and Hexoskin wearable body metrics respectively. Subsequently, the collected data were correlated in order to determine the relationship using regression analysis method. The analysis result shows that there is a significant negative relationship between the movement similarity index and the heart rate, r(28) = .78, p <; 0.001 in badminton performance analysis.
