摘要

The engraving process of projectile is very complicated process and play a key role on theballistic performance. To get more insight into the behavior of the engraving process, thispaper presents research on the interaction between small caliber projectile and rifling barrelwith Quasi-static push test. The resistance force was measured during the projectileengraving process from the forcing cone under different barrel temperature. The push forcevs. travel was recorded for the projectile transition through the forcing cone. The experimentresults show the barrel temperature are important factor on the engraving force of the smallcaliber projectile.
