Predicting Optimizing Cyclone Separator Performance using CFD

1. STAR-CCM+ predicts for cyclones and hydrocyclones 1.1 pressure drop, 1.2 Flow profile and 1.3 Separation efficiency. 2. Both approaches (EMP and LMP) shows very good agreement with experimental data. 3. Turbulence modeling and mesh resolution are key parameters for an accurate result. 4. Automated design space exploration demonstrated to improve efficiency.
