The KhalifaSat mission is to develop an earth observation satellite system with a Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) of 0.7 m at 650km sun-synchronous orbit. The ground segment includes Mission Control Station (MCS), Image Receiving and Processing Station (IRPS). The MCS functionality is monitor and controls the satellite that located at Mohammed Ben Rashad Space Center (MBRSC) ground station in Dubai, UAE. The MCS be capable of performing autonomous mission control operation according to the prescribed command script. The Subsidiary MCS shall relay telecommands and telemetries between Main MCS and KhalifaSat through detection connection with other ground station. The Main IRPS generate schedule request, which includes imaging and download schedules. It also archives image and ancillary data for product generation and distribution. It will receive imaging requests from Customer IRPS and imaging orders from users. It prioritizes and schedules the received requests and orders accordingly. Then it generates and transmit schedule request, which includes imaging and download schedules, to the MCS for satellite operation planning.
