In this paper SOPDT model is approximated using Pade's approximation and PI-PD controller is used to obtain system response where controller parameters are obtained with the help of Ziegler Nichols tuning technique. The response of PI-PD controller is compared with that of PI, PD, PID and it is shown that its response is better than other controllers.
