Using discipline graphics to teach writing principles

摘要

Technical writing teachers can use graphics and graphical organizers from students' disciplines to teach writing principles. These tools provide a familiar visual for students and may improve their ability to understand the principles we teach. This paper reviews how some graphics have been used to teach writing and presents one application of a graphic in a writing class.
