摘要

The virtual simulation technology has been widely used in medical surgery, tourism teaching, military training and education. We summarize the characteristics and principles of developing a virtual simulation teaching system (VSTS). And we develop a system named as the virtual teaching simulation system of solar system model, which is based on Windows development platform, Visual C++6.0 used as the development environment, and OpenGL used as the graphics device interface. The system aims to cultivate students' spatial imagination, creative thinking ability and stimulate students to explore the mysteries of the universe.
