Setting the Degree of Defocus for Video Images in a Monitoring System

We develop a persons-existence extraction system to protect the privacy of a user's image. In this paper, we propose a novel video input method that considers both privacy and security, and we describe the degree of the criteria of the blur with the video input method. In addition, we discuss the problems associated with our previous algorithm, which determines the number of people from blurred images. We improve the algorithm and then evaluate it.
