摘要

The influence of the dielectric loss in the dielectric inside the resonator on the precision of the rotation rate measurement by the new resonant method is studied. The method allows using the electromagnetic field of the microwave band, that allows increasing the precision of the measurements and decreasing the geometrical dimension of the resonators. For that purpose, the boundary value problem of excitation of a rotating resonator is formulated and solved rigorously using the covariant expressions for electromagnetic fields. The frequency characteristics for the case of excitation of the resonator with electric dipole are calculated and analysed for various parameters of the dielectric filling.
