摘要

The objective of this paper is to propose a country boat utilising the application of stand-alone photovoltaic system using Buck-Boost converter which simplifies the power system and stabilize the economic factor. From the viewpoint of environmental protection it is very much essential to regulate the amount of exhaust gases emitted from the diesel engines which are used in normal country boat for sailing in short or long distances. In general, nitrogen oxide, sulphur oxide and particulate matters are considered as toxic substances in exhaust gas from diesel engines, as it causes several fatal diseases. Hence a green sailing country boat, which is solar photovoltaic powered is an alternative solution of diesel engine fitted country boat. Performance and control of DC-DC converter are essential in PV applications. This converter here is a Buck-Boost converter which feeds a DC load. The simulation has been accomplished in software of MATLAB Math works.
