Introduce A Method For Evaluating Annual Daylight Performance: Incorporating the assessment of temporal and spatial daylight illuminance variations using annual hourly illuminance values measured at work plane height during occupied hours of the analyzed space. Illustrate Advances In Climate-based Design Tools: Including detail and accuracy sky and sun models, daylighting simulation algorithms, and personal computing power have made possible dynamic (time-step) climate-based daylighting simulations. Illustrate Spatial Daylight Autonomy (DAs) and Useful Daylight Illuminance (UDI) metrics: Evaluating spatial daylight variation, with sub- hourly datasets of daylight illuminance values for each calculation point/ hour, and the application of standard deviation of each dataset record. Illustrate The Daylighting Performance Benefit: Informing value of acheiving appropriate illumination levels with spatial and temporal uniformity for many candidate design solutions.
