Graduate Diploma Program in Nuclear Engineering Design

摘要

The G.Dip. program presented in the paper provides strong evidence of the benefits of the type of industry-university partnership that has been developed between OPG and UOIT. It took less than six months from the time industry identified the need, to have the first class of participants to enter the program. Such quick response and the acceptance of the program are the results of the strong alignment of UOIT with the nuclear industry's needs regarding educational content, while ensuring academic requirements are met. The focus on knowledge management in nuclear design engineering, the support of course delivery with the use of training simulators and Internet-based video recording that allows for remote learning, all contribute to the success of the program.
