Normalized Unified Operating Point Calculation of AC Drives for Traction System

摘要

This paper presents an analytic method for calculating the operating point of any AC drive, either synchronous or asynchronous. The method selects the operating condition for any reference torque under current and voltage limitation. Implementation is based on a normalized expression of torque, speed-voltage limits and current limits, yielding to a restricted range of the variable variation, regardless of the motor type, size and design. The method is primarily oriented to either modelling or control of traction drive systems embedded in more complex traction control and vehicle control system.
