This paper introduces an automated optimization procedure for multiplexers using aggressive space mapping(ASM). Instead of establishing an equivalent circuit model in a circuit analysis software, the parameters extraction is accomplished using Cauchy method to increase the accuracy and stability. The optimization process is controlled by MATLAB and passively implemented in HFSS without manual intervention, which can reduce the design time and production costs. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the procedure, a coaxial duplexer with 7 poles is optimized. The simulation results meet the design requirements after eleven iterations.
