Analysis of Public Transportation Service Quality and its Implications on City's Sustainability: A Case Study for Bogota, Colombia

There is further work in order to complete the main objective of the study and to develop an indicator for quantifying the quality and satisfaction of the actual public transit service in Bogota. However, from our field experience and preliminary analysis we propose that improving the quality and efficiency of public transport in Bogota is important if the city wants to change its population's transportation habits. Urban sustainability requires local government to promote public policies and actions, but such polices require more attention to users perception and to the desires of the final customer.
