RiCHES outputs serve as a screening tool that focuses on the risk to human and ecological receptors from a wide range of industrial activities that eventually will support making better decisions through sound science Communication of hazard evaluation results to facility managers can provide guidance on the best management practices to mitigate existing problems. Examination of the risk scores can help hazard evaluators focus on problem facilities and prioritize inspections. On a broader scale, as finite resources put more pressure on decision makers, sector-level risk data will help to inform policy decisions to focus on the most significant risks to protect facility personnel, first responders and the citizens of Abu Dhabi and the surrounding environment.
