Based on the improved K-Best algorithm in, a new K-Best MIMO detection algorithm is proposed for parallel programmable baseband architecture, and a low complexity LLR computation method is designed. This algorithm achieves parallel gains at the cost of slight performance degradation. It performs better in the high SNR cases. This algorithm is robust and easy to control, with adjustable parameters. Compared with existing improved K-Best algorithms, the new algorithm provides more system throughput.
