摘要

Distributed Generation, also called onsite generation, embedded generation, decentralized generation or district energy is generation of small scale electricity at or near the point of use. Most of the power in United States is generated by centralized power plants at a distant location utilizing the transmission and distribution lines to deliver power to the end user. EIA defines Distributed Generation as being connected to the electrical grid and intended to directly offset retail sales.
