The operational efficiency of real estate companies has a huge impact on the development of the construction industry. This study took the top 10 real estate companies in 2018 as the research objects, making the total assets and total operation costs as input indicators, and adopting the main operation income, net profit, and return on net assets as output indicators. Then, DEA model was established to evaluate the companies' operational efficiencies. Finally, the relative efficiency values and effectiveness of each company's DEA were obtained, and the detailed improvements for those DEA invalid companies were proposed. The findings can help real estate companies identify and improve the factors that reduce operational efficiency, and also help the government to manage the industry as a whole, and provide supports for the policymaking.
