Post-traumatic defects of the extremities, especially those resulting from high velocity projectile or blast injuries, present significant challenges for the reconstructive surgeon. Such injuries may cause devastating deformity and often result in severe functional limitations. This innovation will improve quality of life for these patients as well as lowering the financial burden on the healthcare system due to the regenerative nature of this therapy.
