Misalignment in charging pads in wireless EV charging systems invariably results in reduction in charging rate and increase in losses. This paper presents a new control technique that restores the charging level to its rated power level with minimum losses under misaligned pads. The control technique ensures that the system will always operate under the tuned condition, despite any pad misalignment, to deliver rated power and without any direct communication. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed control concept, a comprehensive mathematical model is presented, in comparison to simulation results.
