The results of an experimental study of corrosion inhibition in aqueous solutions with CO_2 and H_2S at ambient total pressure, 50% MEG and 60°C are presented and discussed, with focus on development of localized corrosion attacks and the effects of salinity and alkalinity on the electrochemical behavior. The salinity and pH were adjusted to simulate either a pH-stabilized/adjusted monoethylene glycol (MEG)/water phase or a non-treated MEG/water phase (baseline) containing various amounts of condensed and formation water.
