Measuring method on multiphase flow of gas, oil and water using a turbine flow meter

This paper introduces a turbine flow meter to measure the multiphase flow of gas, oil and water. It has been reported an ordinary turbine flow meter with a homogenizer can measure air-water and we have developed how to measure air-high viscous liquid using such technologies. Further, we have been able to measure the multiphase flow of gas, oil and water by using the twin-rotor type turbine flow meter with a homogenizer together, of which size is 50mm. The experiment results show that the volumetric flow rate of each phase are possible to measure with an uncertainty within ±5% of full scale by using statistic method while the water cut varies from 0% to 100% and the gas void fraction varies from 0% to 70%.
