The development and validation of a new standardised method for monitoring diffuse and fugitive VOC emissions from oil and gas facilities.

The development of a validated European standard for monitoring fugitive emissions in Europe supports the implementation of new regulations, which require European refineries to monitor and control fugitive and diffuse emissions. In addition the validation studies supporting the development of the standard will help to provide evidence to operators and regulatory authorities on capabilities of fugitive monitoring techniques. The standardized techniques provide a framework for the investigation and quantification of fugitive emissions.
