摘要

The effects of stick-slip on the lateral tape motion are modeled by implementing the switch-algorithm of Leine et al. into the equation of motion of a translating tape [2]. The stick phase was not observed as expected. However, a significant amount of LTM due to frictional interactions has been shown. Slower translating velocity, higher head slewing frequency and higher tape tension transfers more energy from head to tape.
