Coherent detection of multiband terahertz radiation using a surface plasmon-polariton based photoconductive antenna

We demonstrate a dipole antenna that utilizes surface plasmons for enhanced sensitivity of narrowband coherent terahertz detection. We also describe properties of a multiband dipole detector that would allow for enhanced sensitivity at multiple frequencies.
