Instability of single frequency oscillation in semilinear photorefractive oscillator with reflection gratings

We show, experimentally and by calculation, that two-frequency oscillation in semilinear photorefractive coherent oscillator extends the range of pump intensity ratios where the oscillation is possible and ensures a higher output intensity.
