摘要

Northeast China, one of the most important grain producing regions in China, is vulnerable to drought. Timely, accurate and effective drought monitoring in the region is very essential to secure its output grain production. In this paper, the temporal and spatial distribution of drought in Northeast China was analyzed based on the TVDI. Also the drought change trend from 2001-2013 in Northeast China was calculated. The results show that the drought is mainly concentrated in the middle and south of Northeast China, and it was affected by drought most seriously in May. Liaoning Province was affected by drought most seriously during the growth season of spring wheat from April to October, compared with Heilongjiang and Jilin Province. The east and south were affected by drought more frequently while the drought degree has somewhat decreased in west and middle of Northeast China from 2001 to 2013.
