摘要

Electrical capacitance tomography (ETC) is a technique dedicated for object imaging basing on visualization of spatial permittivity distribution of materials which they are made of. An image reconstruction procedure requires a numerical solution of a general Laplace equation using finite element methods basing on a discrete mesh spanned on the space inclusive inside of a tomographic sensor and solution of an underdetermined liner equation system using an iterative method. The aim of this work is an analysis of an influence of mesh resolution on quality of reconstructed images in electrical capacitance tomography. This evaluation was performed on the base of image reconstruction experiments with numerical and physical phantoms. The computations were made using own Matlab's toolbox - ECTsim.
