The present work consists of processing data obtained during the SCARA01A-2D program from the records of the Brazilian National Petroleum Agency (ANP). The chosen prospect is called 0247_Caravela_1993 and was used to observe the dynamics of the water column in the platform region and slope of Santa Catarina Brazilian coast. The processing used by seismic oceanography seeks to highlight thermohaline structure reverberations, which have smaller amplitude compared to those that are typical of reflectors associated with substrate. Since in some cases weak amplitude reflections and noise have the same magnitude, it is necessary to conduct a study to identify whether the noise components are creating artifacts in the image that are not related to the thermohaline structure in the water column. Basic steps of seismic data processing, such as frequency filtering, velocity analysis, normal moveout correction and stacking are followed to obtain the image of the water column. This work shows the spiking deconvolution and the deconvolution with regularization applied to thoses seismic data. The aim was to get the reflectivity function and thus distinguish artifacts in the water column.
