摘要

A new laboratory system for studying the microbiological corrosion of decommissioningwaste was designed and developed during this project. Microbiological corrosionwas studied using new electrochemical technologies, such as multi-electrode arrayssensors, and molecular biology methods in the laboratory and on-site. The materialsin these laboratory studies were carbon steel (AISI 1005) and stainless steel (EN1.4301 and 1.4432). The results of this study can be used when evaluating risks ofthe microbially induced corrosion of metallic materials in the underground repository.Preliminary results of the first year´s studies are discussed in this paper.
