This paper investigates the magnitude of Top of Descent (ToD) variability induced by usage of anti-ice systems. Previous analysis focusing on aircraft specific characteristics was compared with new data accounting for the anti-ice system use. When the distance from ToD to the meter fix was compared between the analyses, it was found that anti-icing moves ToD further from the meter fix in a fairly uniform manner.
